Amitavo Wye
Amitavo C Wye, FRINA is a naval architect with sixteen years of experience in naval architecture and marine engineering. Amitavo has led the design and project management of over 350 vessels across four countries. He invented the Y-Hull® — a patented hybrid hull form that has achieved 33% fuel efficiency gains in commercial operation.
He is the COO of EcoNavis Solutions Ltd. — a University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom, maritime cleantech spinout. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (FRINA, Membership No. 00177601)
He is the Founder and CEO of ShipDyn Ltd.®, a ship design and engineering company operating in Singapore, Thailand & Bangladesh.
He also works at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom as a Tutor.
